MAKING YOUR WALL POCKET

1. Cut a piece of wood at 41/4" × 8" and another at 41/4" × 31/4".

2. Fit the two pieces together in an L formation, and drill two pilot holes, evenly spaced, at their union. Screw them together with the 2 wood screws. At this point, stain and varnish or apply Dutch oil to the wood assembly as desired.

3. Next, using the jar as a template, center it on the smaller board and mark the vertical board on either side of the jar’s neck just blow the threaded part. Drill two small holes at these marks. Feed the 14-gauge aluminum wire through the holes and around the jar’s neck. Using pliers, carefully twist the wire ends in the back of the vertical board to snugly secure the jar into place.
